The General Overseer of Envagelical Bible Out Reach Ministry international (EBOMI) and the founder of ‘Initiative for a Better and Brighter Nigeria (IBBN)’ El-Buba has flagged off a two million man prayer match for the soul of Nigeria following the rising insecurity bedeviling the country.

El- Buba said the country is at the verge of total collapse and genuine men of God must come together for the restoration of the most populouse black nation on earth back on track to greatness through the supernatural intervention of God the most high.

According to the Convener, “The essence of this prayer is to bring about national rebirth and national cohesion and well as national restoration to our nation. We want to see Nigeria pull out of the ditch of collapsed.

“Because Nigeria is on the verge of total collapse and we want to capture the steering of Nigeria and ensure that the country is back on track to greatness which is through the supernatural intervention from the living God Almighty.

“This time around, we are saying that Nigeria must be captured back from the hands of wicked men and wicked leaders. It is time for a paradigm shift and every leader must wake up to his responsibility.”

He said his conviction was that God has raised to take over the Nigerian project, and in the next two months Nigerians will see the handwork of God

Prophet El-Buba charged all Christians in the country to join the prayers for the salvation of the Country as they continue with the movement across the states of the federation with FCT inclusive.

Plateau CAN Chairman Plateau State Chapter. Rev. Fr. Polycarp Lubo said there is problem with the structural governance of the country and only God can pull the country out of the insecurity situation it has found itself in.

He added that the two million man match prayer which is irrespective of denomination has been organized by Prophet Isa El-Buba over the insecurity problem bedeviling the country and the structural governance of the country.

In words, “Base on what is happening in the country, the kidnapping, the banditry, in fact insecurity everywhere and the structural governance of the country has problem!. So we are today surrendering the country to God as the only solution.”

The President, Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) Rev. Dr. Dachomo Datiri while delivering his ‘Charge’ at the event said Nigeria is at the brim of war.

For him, God is not happy with the Church in the country for not coming together to pray for the redemption of Nigeria’s soul and to avert the looming war that is about to happened in the country.

“Let’s us ask ourselves, is God happy with the Church in Nigeria? I am not talking of the country yet but the Church? Emerging sentiment amongst Christians in the country.

“I am convince that God is not happy with the Church in Nigeria, because we failed to love each other and to come together in prayers for the soul of our dear country from the shackles of darkness. Our nation is at the brim of war, drums of wars are beating!.”

The National Exercutive Director of ‘Initiative for better and brighter Nigeria (IBBN)’ Rev. Dr. Chung Pam Chu said the people of Nrgeria have lost hope on the security apparatus in the country and have resort to seeking solution from God Almighty.

He said the programme which commenced in Jos Plateau State on Monday, will be replicated across the 36 states of the federation including the FCT Abuja as various dates were already allocated for the nationwide prayer programme.

He disclosed that the initiative covers both Christians, Muslims and African Religious practitioners who were called upon to observed the prayers in their own way to save the soul of Nigeria.

“So, IBBN is an initiative for both the Christian, Muslims and the Traditional worshipers to rise and save Nigeria.”

The two million man match prayers at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium had various Church leaders and their members who took a walk round the stadium in prayers and praises for seven times as was the case with the city of Jericho in the Holy Bible.

NCPC Executive Secretary Rev Pam Bags Award Of Excellence On Youth Development.

The Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, Rev Yakubu Pam has bagged award of excellence for his contributions to Youth Development in Plateau State.

The award was presented to him on Saturday in Jos by the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Plateau State Youth Wing.

In his remarks, the NCPC Chief Executive congratulated the Christian Youth for a well organised Leadership and Peace Summit.

He said he was particularly impressed with the quality of dignitaries that graced the occasion and the active participation of the youth leaders across the state.

NCPC boss said,”Youth CAN Plateau State has come to stay”.

He reaffirmed that the Christian youths are the real agent of peace not only in Plateau but in the whole nation.

Rev Pam stressed that he was proud of the Youth CAN in Plateau State and advised them to rise to become active Participants at the CAN national level.

The NCPC boss thanked the Christian youth leaders for finding him worthy of the award.

He noted that the awards are clear language of encouragement for a leader and so he accepted it wholeheartedly because of the high premium he places on the youth .

Pam gave this advise in Jos at the weekend at a two day Leadership and Peace Summit organised by the Christian Association of Nigeria, Plateau State Youth Wing.

The NCPC boss who was the guest speaker at the event spoke on ” Prompting Peaceful Co- existence as a Tool for National Development”

Pam spoke extensively on peace and violence and urged them to ensure they embrace peace at all times and shun violence.

In the words of the NCPC boss” We cannot talk about peace without nurturing it and we
cannot talk about peace without the young people”. Pam stressed.

He highlighted some of the security threats which are adversely affecting the peaceful co-existence of the people which are: Boko Haram insurgency, farmers Herders conflict, agitation by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Kidnapping, amongst others.

He defined peace as the ” absence of war, justice,fairness and violence”.

Pam reaffirmed that ” peace is not merely the absence of war, but the presence of justice and governance”

The NCPC Boss admonished them to avoid unnecessary competitions, but rather come together to mediate on common issues affecting them, the state and the nation.

He further urged them to ensure that they reduce conflict and embrace dialogue.

Rev. Yakubu Pam in his words said, ”Media is what is shaping and giving direction particularly in Nigeria today that is faced with crisis’.

He added that the role of the media is to correct, strengthen and give directions to the society”.

President of Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) Professor Innocent Ujah has raised concerns over the general insecurity in many parts of the nation, describing the current situation as worrisome to medical doctors and other health workers across the country.

Professor Ujah said the medical doctors and health workers are not only affected, but find it difficult and unsafe to offer their services to those in need.

Ujah who stated this at Government House Jos during NMA National Officers courtesy visit on Governor Lalong appealed to the Governor to use his office as the Chairman of the Northern Governors Forum to work with his colleagues, Federal Government and the security agencies in tackling insecurity in the country which is giving everyone concern.

Governor Lalong thanked the NMA for the visit and said their second visit within four months shows the confidence they have in the State.

He assured them that his administration is determined to sustain the peace in the State which is the number one priority of the government.

Lalong also reiterated his invitation to medical doctors to establish health facilities in Plateau State and encourage medical tourism because of the natural endowments of the State and hospitable environment.

Armed Gunmen suspected to be Kidnappers invaded Calvary International Ministry, Popularly known as CAPRO in Barkin Ladi Local government area of Plateau State, North Central Nigeria in the early hours of Thursday morning with an intension to carry out mass Abduction of the students of the college.

The School is few kilometers from the Yakubu Gowan Airport Haipang.

According to an eye witness from the school who called for anoymity, said the attackers stormed the school early hours of Thursday morning with intension to kidnap several students who were sleeping.

It was gathered that, some students noticed strange movements within the college compound and quickly alerted the school authority who promptly informed security agencies that responded swiftly forcing the attackers to flee with 2 students.

The eye witness added that one out of the two abducted students managed to escape to safty during a gun dual between the security personnels and the abductors.

Insecurity: Plateau Government Plans to Purchase 50 Patrol Vans And 200 Security Motor cycles.

Towards responding to crime and insecurity in Plateau State, the State Executive Council has approved the procurement of 50 patrol pickup vans and 200 security motorcycles for distribution to security agencies in the state.

Briefing newsmen after the weekly State Executive Council Meeting held at the New Government House, Little Rayfield Jos, Commissioner for Information and Communication Mr. Dan Manjang said the decision was taken to strengthen the capacity of the security agencies to respond to various challenges across the State.

He said the patrol vehicles and motorcycles will be deployed across the State and utilised for the purpose of proactively tackling kidnapping, banditry and other crimes. He said there will be increased intelligence gathering particularly in the rural areas.

Manjang also disclosed that the state executive Council approved the scrapping of Plateau Agric Mechanization and Supply Company because it doesn’t have a law establishing it as its functions have been subsumed under the ASTC.

The staffs, according to him will be redeployed to relevant MDAs and their parent ministries.

The Council also approved the report of the economic and financial sub-councils as well directed for a draft white paper on the relationship between ministries and parastatal in the execution of their statutory functions.

Having an approval of 3 sub councils last week,
the Exco also approved the construction of some roads in the State which includes, Aliyu Makama – Muslim Pilgrims Board to Plateau Hospital Link Road; Joe Garba and Wamba Close roads to be executed through direct labour.

It also approved the rehabilitation and Construction of NDLEA – Zarazon-Fobur Road Phase One phase 1 road also through direct labour.

Also approved is the execution of constituency projects under the supervision of the Plateau State Road Maintenance Agency.

The projects are for Bokkos, Pengana, Pankshin North, Riyom, Langtang, Pankshin South, Mangu South, Kanke, Rukuba/Irigwe constituencies to the tune of 91million naira.

Some road projects were also terminated. They includes, Mangu bye-pass road project of 13km that was first awarded to PW and re-awarded to Sky Technical and Construction Company. The 18.4km Mai Juju-Zandi road was also terminated and the contractor is to make a refund of N68, 870, 350.18 naira.

Commissioner for health Dr. Nimkong Lar also gave an update of COVID-19 cases with 64,894 persons tested and confirmed cases standing at 9,052. Number of persons administered with the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine so far at 40, 625.

While the Commissioner for Finance Mrs. Regina Soemlat explained the funding for all the projects and procurement approved by the council.

Similarly, Housing Commissioner Barrister Zulfa Rimven gave an update on the hosting of the 9th Council for Lands and Housing currently taking place in Jos.

Pam gave this words of encouragement to victims of recent attacks on Sunday at the combined Local Church Council Service, held at LCC Gwe, Kwi in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Rev Pam told the Church worshippers that “Kwi as a community needed the solidarity of every Plateau person. I want to appreciate the people of this community for standing strong amidst persistent attacks.

He wondered why Since 2015, it was like the people were going to be wiped away from their restive community .

” It has been mourning and Lamentations up to 2018, worst things have happened in this community but you have displayed acts of strong will like the soldiers of the olden days.”

He urged them to continue to be strong and courageous, saying” as we are standing here, we don’t have physical weapons to protect us but heaven is standing by us, heaven will continue to protect us.” Pam stressed.

The NCPC Boss and Northern CAN Chairman applauded the leadership of Church of Christ in Nations for organizing the church service in vulnerable Communities to identify with the poor people who have lost their beloved ones in a horrible manner.

Pam added that most churches could have preferred to hold crusades in places that are favourable and more convenient but Commended the church leadership for deciding to come down to this Community to identify with the victims of recent Attacks in the affected communities.

He condoled with the people of Wereng community who lost six of its members during the recent violent attacks and urged the people to be on red alert and report evil persons to security agencies for prompt action.

On his part, Chairman of Riyom Local Government Area, Mafeng Gwallson encouraged the people of his LGA to be steadfast, and go into their farms as the farming season is approaching.

He noted that Government will do everything within its reach to support the people with fertilizer within time .
