The Aspiration of Nde David Victor Dimka (DVD) to Contest Plateau Governorship Election in 2023 has been given a boost by the Deputy speaker of Plateau state House of Assembly Rt Hon Saleh Shehu Yipmong.

The endorsement of DVD took place when the Deputy Speaker Saleh Shehu Yipmong came on brotherly visit to Nde Dimka Victor David fsi to encourage and reinvigorate the DVD Movement.

Yitmong during his visit, saluted the gallantry and courage of the leader of the DVD Movement which was amply demonstrated when he served the country as a Customs officer rising to the rank of Comptroller.

“That you have chosen to offer your immense experience especially the security expertise to the people of Plateau State as her Chief Servant is commendable and worthy of support.” Deputy speaker stressed.
Responding Nde Dimka Victor David fsi effusively welcomed the Deputy Speaker and commended his exemplary leadership and loyalty as a principal officer of the Plateau House especially during the recent imbroglio in the state Assembly.

The DVD Leader reiterated that his response to the clarion call of the people of Plateau was due his political heritage and desire to bring his rich experience in the security circles of Nigeria and leverage on the expertise in revenue generation garnered in the Nigeria Customs Service. He commended the current and past administrations for the management of the Plateau Project .

He revealed that his mission is to build a secured, prosperous and United Plateau State anchored on the fear of God.

“I will run an inclusive administration that will cater for the 57 ethnic nationalities in Plateau State, saying every person living in the State should turn our diversity into a great positive force.

“Your visit signposts a tectonic shift in our strategic direction and we are grateful.” Dimka stressed.

Plateau All Progressive Congress leadership Condemns dasterdly Attacks On Ta’agbe Community of Bassa LGA.

All Progressives Congress in Plateau State, Rufus Bature has Condemned in strong terms, the renewed cycle of attack on the unsuspecting people of Ta’agbe in Miango District of Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau state.

The party Chairman in a statement issued through the party secretary Sylvester Namang and made Available to Oracle Reporters in Jos at the weekend, said the party is deeply saddened by this latest orgy of violence visited on “our people which led to the loss of several lives with many others maimed and unquantified property destroyed in its wake”.

According to him, It is disheartening that this dastardly act came at a time when the Plateau State government has been working round the clock to ensure the restoration of permanent peace in the troubled community and the state at large.

“These courier of death and agents of destruction who attack the people at will must be trailed, apprehended and brought to face the full wrath of the law. ”

Bature said that this latest attack should be seen by the security agencies as a serious wake up call, especially the Third Armoured Division of the Nigrian Army where these incessant attacks are embarrassingly perpetrated at its backyard.

The AP in Plateau state, he said is calling for greater synergy between and amongst the various security outfits in the state who have been adequately supported and equipped by the state government to protect the lives and property of the people of the state.

“We call on the entire good and peace- loving people of the state to cooperate with the state government in its efforts to stem the tide of attacks by these unwanted and wicked elements who sneak in the dark of the night to terrorise our people.”

According to the state APC Party Chairman, his party frowns at the blame game of some notable politicians from the state, who instead of cooperating to collectively profer solutions to these sad occurrences, choose to always throw needle blames on the state government.

” While our hearts are with the entire harpless Ta’agbe community, we call for vigilance which is a viable way of arresting these incessant attacks”. He stressed.

Prophet Isa El-Buba, Vice President PFN and National leader IBBN Canvasses for Southern President in 2023.

National Leader of a pressure group, the Initiative for Better and Brighter Nigeria (IBBN) Prophet Isa El-Buba has Advocated for Southern President in Nigeria come 2023 for the sake of equity to all concerned in the Nigeria Project.

Prophet El-Buba in an interview with newsmen in Jos on Thursday, said the current President of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari a Muslim is from from the north and by 2023, will complete his two terms in office and such, morally speaking, a Christian South should be supported to become the next President of Nigeria come 2023.

According to Prophet El-Buba , the President to be from the southern part of this country should be a leader that will go into politics because of what he can do for the people of this country, not just a politician whose quest to go into politics is for selfish pursuits.

According to him, people of like minds are already working round the clock to make sure,those that will be voted into power in Nigeria in 2023,are people that have what it takes to represent the interest of the people of Nigeria at all levels of government as from 2023 onward.

El-Buba who is also the Vice President of Pentecostal fellowship of Nigeria, Commended national Assembly Lawmakers for making it right this time around with the recommendation of Direct primaries to President Buhari to sign it into law a head of 2023 general election.

He stressed that the argument s Of APC Governors against direct primaries are nothing but fears of loosing grip of the system in their states to the peoples choice in the
states.

According to him, the fact still remains that the people should be given the right to decide who becomes their candidates not just for few people to sit somewhere at Government Houses or private houses to decide the faith of the majority. He stressed.

A Frontline Gubernatorial aspirant in Plateau state, Former Comptroller of Nigeria Custom Service, Nde Victor David Dimka, has given assurance to Plateau citizens of his readiness to build a secured, prosperous and united Plateau state anchored on the fear of God if given the mandate of becoming their next governor come 2023.

Dimka a chietain of APC on the Plateau, in an interview with Oracle Reporters at his Rayfield campaign office in Jos ,said having looked at Plateau holistically, he has come to a conclusion that his state needs to be salvaged to overcome it’s challenges.

According to him, 2023 governorship race by all political calculations on the Plateau, is zoned to Plateau Central zone of the state and that having been blessed over the years with wealth of experience and as a fellow of security institute,he is fully equipped to provide
good governance, progress and unity among 57ethnic groups in Plateau state if elected as their next governor.

He said his going into politics in the new dispensation on the Plateau is because he has something to offer the people of his state.

He stressed that security is everything as no one cannot talk about economy and other things in any given state that wants to be viable and prosperous without security in the first place.

According to him, the past Governors who served Plateau in the past and at this moment, did their best, but that he is here to build on what they have done to take Plateau to a greater height.

Dimka added that as a trained custom officer equipped to combat smugglers and generate revenue for the government,he knows what to do to create wealth for his state if given the opportunity to become the next elected Govenor of the state come 2023.

He added that he knows how to generate revenue from areas where people never give it a second thought.

Dimka whose popularity is growing by the day in the 17 LGAs of his state assured the people of his state that as someone with security background, he will bring that experience to bear as he knows more will be expected from him if he gets the mandate of the people of Plateau come 2023.

Senator Hezekiah Dimka,Senate Committee Chairman on Drugs and Narcotics has trained Women and youths in Plateau Central Senatotrial district on Livestock, Potato. Rice production and processing aimed at getting them out of poverty and Unemployment.

Dimka in an interview with Newsmen in Jos at the weekend on his empowerment programs executed so far for the benefit of his constituents, said he decided to touch the lives of women and youths in the five LGAS of his Constituency among other people’s oriented programs because of his belief that entrepreneurial skill development is very important like water to human lives in the area of development.

Dimka noted that at the end of the training programs,grants were Provided to them to enable them engage the markets for meaningful businesses that will help in improving their welbeing.
According to him, the aim of his Organising empowerment programs for the women and youths in Plateau Central acquire skills for personal development, adding that the skill acquisition and empowerment helps in reducing unemployment, poverty,drug and substance abuse thereby ensuring a safe and healthy and prosperous society in his Senatotrial district.

He also disclosed that he has lobbied for permanent and pensionable appointments for many youths with federal agencies, ministries and Parastatals including tertiary institutions where they are presently working.
According to him, he is happy that many youths from plateau state have secured employment with NDLEA through his efforts .

Dimka noted that several other areas such as Humanitarian assistance,Rural electrification, construction of solar street lights and construction of motorised boreholes have been executed in several communities in his Senatotrial district in keeping with his campaign promises to his Constituents in Plateau Central zone.

The Vice Chancellor of the Taraba state University Professor. Vincent Ado Tenebe has revealed why the state owned university decided to produce a movie of international standard ahead of any other University in the Country.

He said Taraba state University was ranked among the top best 20 Universities in Nigeria recently hence the need for them to do something unique to justify so.

Tenebe stated this while he playing host to the Big Brother Naija season Six star Sakoty Jonah known as Sasky and a Nollywood star Yemi BlacQ who are in Jalingo the Taraba state Capital for the premiere of the movie produced by the students of the department of film and theater studies of the university with the Title “Shades of Innocence”.

Our correspondent reports that the celebrities were accompanied to institution by their Fans on a long motor quee to the Senate building that housed the VCs office where they interfaced.

While addressing the Actors and the students of the University, the Vice Chancellor told the gathering that the movie was supported by His excellency Arch. Darius Dickson Ishaku whose priority is education, adding that the development of the youths was key to him, His words ” I welcome you to Taraba State, Nature’s gifts to the Nation, the movie that we are about to Premiere today, is a film produced by our students mainly as practical so that they will know the world they are going into and its done in conjunction with other film actors in the country to give a chance to the students as practical in their area of specialization and I made bold to say that the movie is of international standard, the movie is a huge success because our Visitor, the Governor of the State Arch. Darius Dickson Ishaku has been so supportive, he believes in the youths and has encouraged us to help the students discover their talents while they are still in school, with this movie now, every body will know that we are actually among the best top 20 Universities in this Country, our students of film and theater studies worth their salt as film makers, I am proud of our students, that’s to say that their future is bright and secured they most not wait for government or white collar jobs, so I Congratulate our students for this great achievement”.

Aslo speaking, the Dean of Students Affairs Dr. Rebeccah Daniel who is a guru in the field of film making spoke in line with the film Director Zacks Francis who both threw their weights behind the Vice Chancellor affirmed that the story is of international standard, reiterating that Taraba state University is the first University in the whole of Nigerian Universities to have produced a movie of that Standard.

Our correspondent reports that the Premiere took place at the gym hall Jolly-Nyame Stadium Jalingo with top actors from Nollywood, Kennywood, staff, students of the University were in attendance, and the Vice Chancellor Prof. Vincent Ado Tenebe also participated in the movie.

Langtang North LGA: Joshua Ubandoma Laven Remains the Sitting Chairman In the Eyes of the Law- Hassan Plateau PDP Chairman.

The Plateau State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has called on Governor Simon Lalong and his government handlers to give peace a chance in Langtang LGA of the state by allowing the elected Chairman of the LGA complete his 3rd year in Office.

Chairman of People’s Democractic Party in the state Chris Hassan who address newsmen in Jos on Monday at his party Secretariat on the current political developments in his state, said that in spite of the Justice Kunda Ishaku declarative judgment of last week reinstating the PDP chairman of the Council, Joshua Laven Ubandoma, Lalong Government has refused to honor the court judgement that reinstated Langtang North Chairman to Complete his 3 years tenure.

According to Hassan, ousted APC candidate has no place in Langtang North LGA as chairman because the court declared there was no vacancy in the first place.

According to Hassan Justice Kunda Ishaku judgment granted the applicant five reliefs, and summarily indicated that the judgment is declarative, meaning the PDP chairman is restored to his office with immediate effect, without any procedures or protocols associated with executionary judgment.

He warned Govenor Lalong not to create a crisis of legitimacy and identity of leadership in Langtang North and precipitate confusion and possible bloodshed.

He Commended the new Police Commissioner, Bathlomew Nnamdi Onyeka, for his quick intervention by sealing the local government council Secretariat to avoid a clash of the two parties which if left unchecked could lead to spill of blood and possible breakdown of law and order in the Locality.

Hassan recalled that Lalong is orchestrating breach of the law and desperation in Langtang North less than two weeks after he allegedly sponsored seven members of the State House of Assembly to commit an illegality in the name of impeaching the state Assembly Speaker Hon Abok Ayuba.

According to Hassan, the PDP will continue to explore the instrumentality of the law in the state to recover all that belongs to PDP on the Plateau .

Plateau Coalition of Civil Society Organisations Charges Plateau Lawmakers to follow Constitutional Provisions to Resolve It’s leadership Crisis.

Coalition of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) in Plateau state has advised Plateau House of Assembly Lawmakers
to follow constitutional provisions in resolving the leadership crises that is bedeviling the assembly.

The coalition gave advice in Jos while briefing newsmen on the outcome of the their meeting held on the unfolding drama at the state House of Assembly.

The Chairman of the coalition, Comrade Gad Peter Shamaki, t While briefing news men at the end of their meeting said the CSOs were saddened by the current unnecessary leadership tussle in the House which he said had been heating up the political atmosphere, threatening the peace and cooperate existence of the state.

Shamaki noted that the tussle was making life unbearable for citizens of the state and inculcating the culture of violence and use of force instead of debate, diplomacy and dialogue in resolving issues.

“We call on all parties, especially those trying to forcefully change the rules of the House to follow the rules of engagement and constitutional provisions as contained in (Sec 92 Sub sec 2c) of the Constitution so that lawmakers do not become law breakers as we have seen in this saga.”

The chairman of the Plateau coalition of civil society organizations called on authorities to stand on the side of justice, fairness, peace and ensure that the state legislators uphold the rule of law and legislative procedures to avert a breakdown of law and order.

“We commend all gallant officers of all security agencies in the state that have sacrificed their time and life for the maintenance of peace and support for democracy and civic space. We, however, wish to urge the various security agencies in the state that they should maintain an impartial posture in handling the ongoing attempt at ‘leadership change’ in the State House of Assembly.

He noted that the leadership crisis in the House is unnecessary as it has hit up the political atmosphere on the Plateau thereby threatening the peace and corporate existence of the state.

“A stitch in time saves nine, it is in the best interest of Plateau to have a people centered and functioning House of Assembly that would promote, support democratic culture and socio-economic development of the state.

“We therefore, call for a quick resolution of the perceived impasse and democratic norms and practice in the running of the affairs of the Plateau State House of Assembly and we say no to any act of impunity,” he said.
