The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC Plateau State Chapter, Hon. Rufus Bature has congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the successful completion of the one month Ramadan fast which is one of the five pillars of Islam.
He admonished them to live according to the lessons of the fasting which is a period of spiritual cleansing, supplication and devotion to the service of Allah as preached by the Holy Prophet Mohammed.
In the same vein, the APC Chairman has facilitated with Muslims in the state and beyond on the auspicious celebration of this year’s Eid -El – Fitr Sallah celebration.
” As you mark this joyful moment, it is my sincere prayer and hope that the bond of unity, peace and love would continue to be reinforced and radiate amongst you and the followers of other faith.”
According to Bature, “We are,indeed, at the crossroads as a state and as a nation given the state of insecurity we have found ourselves, which calls for prayers and rededication to the service of God Almighty.”
He wished the Muslim Ummah a very successful and blissful Eid – El – Fitr celebration and used the occasion to call on the citizenry especially security agents to be vigilant to ensure that evil minded elements do not use the occasion to breach security in any part of the country.
