Gamai Elders of All Progressive Congress/ stakeholders in Plateau state after reviewing the recent security challenges on the Plateau, have condemned in it’s entirety the unprovoked attacks in Riyom, Bassa, Jos North, Jos South, and Mangu LGAs of their state.
The Elders of Gamai natives led by it’s Chairman Miskoom Kevin Kwaplong at a press conference in Jos,said the gory incidents obviously shook the very foundation of the peace of the people of Plateau state, cohension, stability and unity as a people.
According to Kwaplong, even in the midst of the storm, Governor Lalong humility and composure at this trying moments is in deed a rare inspiration in exemplary leadership.
He noted that despite the recent skirmishes in parts of the State, Lalong administration on the Plateau in the last six years was able to maintain peace in the state despite all odds .
.They Commended the security agencies for their doggedness in the discharge of their statutory functions and as well Commended the Local Government chairmen in the state who as security officers of their respective LGAs have been up and doing.
They equally appreciated both the religious and traditional rulers for doing their best to ensure that there was no further break down of Law and order.
The Gamai APC Elders also commended the untiring efforts of the State political leaders such as the Deputy speaker House of Representatives Ahmed Idris Wase, members of National Assembly and Plateau State lawmakers and illustrious sons and daughters of Plateau for calming frayed nerves, saying they have all displayed Plateau spirit.
They called on all Plateau people to set aside political, religious and Ethnic differences in time like this so that together they could build a Plateau of their dream.
