Senator representing Plateau South in the National Assembly Prof. Dame Nora Ladi Daduut has called on her constituents, the people of Plateau and Nigerians to be peaceful as they mark this year’s Democracy Day .
According to Professor Norah Dadu’ut, Nigerians should put the interest first before any other considerations.
She acongratulated President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR ,Governor Simon Bako Lalong ,the Executive Governor of Plateau state and his Deputy Prof Sonny Tyoden and the President of the Senate Ahmed Lawan for their Purposeful leadership qualities .
She said since 1999, Nigeria had come a long way in democratic practice, noting that the country’s system is growing by the day.
Senator Daduut stated that Nigeria has learnt a lot in the last 22 years of uninterrupted democracy and used the occasion to call on Nigerians to remain united in the face of daunting challenges facing them
Daduut also called for fervent prayers for the country to overcome the myriad of security challenges.
In her words “Let us continue to uphold the bond of citizenship that has kept us together as one indivisible people.”
“This occasion, calls for a re-dedication of ourselves and pursue those ideals that promote national unity and peaceful co- existence among the people,’’ she stressed
Senator Dadu’ut assured her Constituents walking round the clock to empower women ,youths and the aged in her Senatorial district.
Senator Dadu’ut promised to put the interest of her people first at all times .
