Member representing Ado/Ogbadibo/Okpokwu Federal Constituency at National Assembly Dr. Francis Ottah Agbo has mourned the death of the National Publicity Secretary of the Afenifere, Yinka Odumakin.
Dr. Ottah Agbo in a statement by his Media Adviser, Mr. Andrew Agbese made available to Oracle Reporters, said Odumakin was his friend who helped him adapt to Lagos life as a young journalist!
According to the statement, the Feed Back Lawmaker said the Afenifere spokesman would be missed for his uncommon courage and burning desire to see a better, prosperous and United Nigeria.
The Lawmaker, who is the spokesman of the Minority Caucus of the House of Representatives said Odumakin spoke to truth to power and left at a time when his deep knowledge of the Nigerian political landscape and its major actors was needed.
He described Odumakin’s activism as unique as he was objective in his approach and did not allow religious or ethnic sentiment colour his sense of judgement when the larger interest of Nigeria was at stake.
Hon. Agbo prayed God to grant the soul of the late activist eternal rest and for strength to those he left behind to bear the loss.
